Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: “We spent a lot of time on the training pitch. We had a number of players away on international duty.

“I always expect a difficult game up here, Ross County’s home form is very strong. A lot at stake for both teams. We can pretty much cement that top six with a win today.

“It should make for a very good game. We knew before the season started how competitive it was. It’s more competitive than it has been for a number of years. There’s no easy fixtures. Today is no different.

“We’ve had some injuries to key players throughout the season but in the main we’ve been able to cope. Declan picked up an injury during the break and he’s a big loss for us, he’s had a terrific season. We’ve had to shuffle the pack today.
